Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aoki King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greer Morimune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes into the arena with I'm on a boat blaring out of the sound system. Aoki King could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Greer Morimune's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aoki King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Greer Morimune! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King shoots in but Morimune avoids the takedown attempt easily. King shoots in and drives through. Morimune sprawls well. King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Morimune's waist but Morimune gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aoki King. That's going to take a lot out of him. King throws a head kick that misses. King misses with a head kick.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Morimune but Morimune pushes him off and we're back to square one. Horrible takedown by King or perhaps it was just good defense by Morimune which made him look bad. Morimune changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. King looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. King being controlled for a moment. King gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. King wants to get back to full guard. Morimune wants to stand up but King has a hold of him and won't allow it. Morimune prevents King from improving his position. King is breathing heavily. Morimune takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. King has a hand on Morimune's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Morimune takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Morimune tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. King is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
King has given up his back here. Will Morimune look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Morimune has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of King's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. I really don't envy King right now.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Morimune struggling to keep hold of the position.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Despite being in the dominant position, Greer Morimune just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Morimune dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on King. That did some damage! A shot to de liver by Morimune. Beautiful body shot. King misses the jab. King tries to bum rush Morimune with a series of wild strikes but Morimune uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. King with a poor takedown and Morimune counters with a nice uppercut. Morimune lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. King throws a lazy uppercut
and Morimune counters with a thumping low kick. Morimune shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greer Morimune dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
King throws a sloppy body shot
and Morimune counters with an inside leg kick. Morimune throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily. Morimune lets loose with a powerful body kick. King will feel that in the morning. King will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
King throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A decent looking body kick lands there for Morimune. King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. King throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. King controlling the action here. Morimune is pressing down on King's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. King trying to control the position from guard on top but Morimune is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. King won't allow Morimune to sweep him here. King drops back, looking for a kneebar! Morimune looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Morimune looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Morimune! King is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Morimune is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down King's shoulder. That is not cool. Morimune tries to move to mount but King blocks the move with his legs. King is letting Morimune control him for a moment. King trying his best to control but Morimune has mounted him. Morimune stands up from mount. Strange move. Morimune lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Morimune.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Morimune as he jumps to the side. King with a lazy takedown attempt and Morimune counters with a head kick. King misses with a takedown and Morimune counters with a head kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aoki King. That's going to take a lot out of him. King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. King has hold of Morimune's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Morimune manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Morimune regains half guard. Morimune is controlling King's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morimune is staying active underneath King, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Morimune is trying to control but can't.
King missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Morimune gets full guard. Morimune is pulling down on King's head to control his posture. King looking to sit in guard and control but Morimune gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greer Morimune showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Morimune lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
King gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Morimune postures up.
Greer Morimune has got the better of the ground game so far. Morimune wants to pass the guard but King is keeping the position. King working for submissions but it's allowed Morimune to get to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Morimune is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. King is trying to get back to full guard. King is looking to control Morimune's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can King avoid being mounted? King regains full guard. Nicely done. King pushes a forearm under Morimune's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Morimune is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
