Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jess Liaudin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haiki Masatupo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liaudin comes to the cage accompanied by Jump Around. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masatupo is looking to clinch but Liaudin is avoiding it.
Haiki Masatupo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big left from Masatupo misses.
Liaudin throws a sloppy head kick and Masatupo moves out of range easily.

BOOM! Masatupo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Masatupo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Liaudin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Masatupo has hold of Liaudin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Liaudin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Liaudin is desperately trying to improve his position but Masatupo has a good base and remains in mount.

so Masatupo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Masatupo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Masatupo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Liaudin takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Masatupo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Liaudin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Masatupo pulls his head out easily.

Liaudin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Masatupo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Masatupo has escaped and now he's on top!

and Liaudin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Masatupo's guard now.
Liaudin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Masatupo's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liaudin throws an elbow that misses. Masatupo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Liaudin's guard. Nice move by Masatupo!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jess Liaudin.
Well Masatupo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Haiki Masatupo decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
