Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Kiilopaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kiilopaa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Extreme Ways. Miller comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fight Song by Marilyn Manson kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Pertti Kiilopaa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mike Miller's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Pertti Kiilopaa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Miller! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kiilopaa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Miller. Kiilopaa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kiilopaa throws a right hand that Miller ducks under and follows up with a left that Miller also avoids with ease. Kiilopaa is looking to land body kicks. Kiilopaa does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kiilopaa wants to slow Miller down by chopping away at his legs. Kiilopaa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Miller. Kiilopaa avoids the body shot from Miller.

It looks like Pertti Kiilopaa has been cut. Kiilopaa throws a series of punches but Miller avoids them all with ease. Kiilopaa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Miller sprawls well. Miller wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kiilopaa gets slowly back to his feet. Kiilopaa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Miller just misses with a punch to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Kiilopaa. Those never looked like landing. Miller misses the jab. Miller does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kiilopaa. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kiilopaa creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Miller sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Miller parries the strikes from Kiilopaa easily there. Kiilopaa is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Miller to escape.

Miller controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Kiilopaa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Miller knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Miller is trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. An elbow from Kiilopaa crashes against the mat.

Kiilopaa is working Miller over with some ground and pound from side control. Kiilopaa goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Miller rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kiilopaa's guard! Nice work there by Miller! Miller wanted to stand there but Kiilopaa had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiilopaa has his foot on Miller's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miller works his way back into a safe position though. Kiilopaa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Miller wants to get up but he can't break Kiilopaa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Miller is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kiilopaa has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Miller is looking to defend but Kiilopaa has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Miller! Kiilopaa pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Miller taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Pertti Kiilopaa! Pertti Kiilopaa opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
