Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yuoki Akamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heinrich Dussander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akamara comes to the cage accompanied by Illuminati. Dussander has chosen Gary Jules - Mad World (2011 Electro Mix) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yuoki Akamara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Heinrich Dussander! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dussander's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Akamara connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dussander scrambles back to his feet. Akamara keeps the fight on the outside. Dussander is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dussander misses with an uppercut. Dussander lands a lovely overhand right. Dussander throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A right-left combo lands from Dussander. Akamara punishes Dussander's body with a nice straight punch. Akamara moves into the clinch successfully.
Dussander pressing his opponent against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Akamara is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Dussander prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dussander lands with a short shot to the head. Akamara is trying to pull guard but Dussander turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Akamara misses with a punch on the inside.

Still in the clinch, Dussander scores with a nice short uppercut. Akamara has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dussander avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuoki Akamara. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dussander just leaning against Akamara, taking a breather. Dussander keeps control of Akamara as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dussander lands on the inside with an uppercut. The referee is keeping an eye on Dussander - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Dussander breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dussander lands a jab to the nose. Dussander throws a front kick that sends Akamara stumbling back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dussander feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Akamara bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dussander's guard. Akamara working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Akamara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dussander swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dussander looking to control.
Dussander is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Akamara with a flurry of punches that miss. Akamara working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dussander's head. Dussander is looking to sweep but instead, Akamara has passed into half guard.
Dussander slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dussander holds on and takes a little breather.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dussander avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Akamara has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Akamara throws a big right hand that misses. Akamara throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Akamara postures up.
Akamara is looking to work some ground and pound but Dussander has wrist control. Akamara with a flurry of punches that miss. Dussander keeping moving, preventing Akamara from controlling successfully. Akamara preventing the sweep. Akamara postures up.
Dussander working a defensive guard but Akamara manages to pass into side control anyway.
Dussander is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dussander manages to work his way to half guard, despite Akamara's best efforts. Akamara scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Akamara controlling the action here. Dussander has hold of Akamara's hands but Akamara slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dussander taking some punishment here, with Akamara in his half guard. Akamara stalling. Akamara winds up and cracks Dussander with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Akamara thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Akamara slips a nice elbow through Dussander's hands, connecting with Dussander's forehead. Dussander trying to control from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Yuoki Akamara will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Dussander is looking to clinch. Akamara takes a kick to the side of the head. Akamara avoids the head kick by Dussander.
Dussander misses with the combination.
Heinrich Dussander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dussander loads up on a big right hand but Akamara slips the punch. Akamara blocks a jab. Dussander keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Dussander throws a leg kick which misses Akamara's front leg but catches the back leg as Akamara tries to avoid it. Nice uppercut there from Akamara.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akamara ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dussander moves away. A left lands for Dussander. Akamara displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dussander throws out the jab. Dussander connects with the punch. Dussander shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Akamara eats them both and turns towards Dussander to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Dussander misses with a hook. Dussander cracks Akamara with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Akamara works the jab nicely. Dussander fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Akamara manages to avoid it. Dussander looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Akamara misses the body punch and Dussander counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Akamara is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Akamara is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dussander scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Oh Akamara is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Dussander scores with a nice strike. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dussander pounces like a tiger and cracks Akamara with a vicious hook! Akamara is down but not out! Dussander follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Heinrich Dussander! An out of breath Heinrich Dussander thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
