Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between eat Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melendez has chosen Bad Company as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rod Melendez struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. eat Me has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rod Melendez!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Me decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Melendez is refusing to be controlled, as Me sits in half guard.
Me is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Melendez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Me.
Me perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Melendez is looking for a sweep. Me is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Me looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Melendez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Me is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Me is looking for a kimura here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Me wants to lay and pray for a moment but Melendez keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Me seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Melendez is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
