Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taco Grande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Lonzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Taco Grande!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick Lonzo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grande doesn't manage to clinch there - Lonzo circles away.
Lonzo shoots in looking for a takedown. Grande tries to sprawl out of it but Lonzo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grande manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lonzo gets tackled into the cage by Grande. Grande maintains the clinch.
Grande will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lonzo up against the cage.
Grande misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Grande breaks from the clinch.
Grande tries to clinch there but Lonzo circles away.
Lonzo connects with a body shot that sends Grande's belly button to the back.

and Lonzo counters with a single leg into guard. Grande didn't expect that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lonzo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Grande works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Lonzo postures up in Grande's guard and throws a big left but Grande blocks it.

Grande avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lonzo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Grande works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lonzo wants to control from the top but Grande keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grande is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Grande is controlling Lonzo's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grande is working an open guard so Lonzo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Grande fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lonzo fails with the takedown.
Grande takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lonzo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Grande looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lonzo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Grande's head.

Lonzo tries to stall but Grande uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Grande is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Lonzo is defending well.
Grande lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Lonzo as Grande tries to tie him up.
Grande wants to break the clinch but can't.
Grande misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Taco Grande has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Lonzo.
Lonzo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lonzo has had enough of the clinch but Grande keeps him there for the moment.

Grande tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lonzo avoids it.
Grande tries a body shot but Lonzo blocks it.
Grande pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Lonzo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Grande's guard now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Grande has momentary wrist control but Lonzo slips an elbow through the middle.

Lonzo stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Lonzo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lonzo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lonzo uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Grande has time to react.
Grande tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lonzo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Grande is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Lonzo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Grande gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Lonzo gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Grande is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Lonzo!
