Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Khasm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edgar Allan Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Khasm might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kickstart My Heart. Poe is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Heartbeats. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poe connects with a solid leg kick.
Khasm looks for the body kick but Poe saw that one coming.
Poe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Khasm. That did some damage!
Khasm shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Poe pinned against the cage. Poe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Poe feints and then cracks Khasm's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Khasm down.
Poe tries to clinch there but Khasm circles away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Poe.
Khasm is breathing heavily.
Poe connects with an inside leg kick.
Poe moves into the clinch successfully.
Khasm takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Kevin Khasm has been cut.

Poe using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Khasm has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Poe takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Khasm drops down looking for an ankle pick but Poe pulls his leg out and moves away.
Poe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Khasm.

Poe turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
