Rodriguez is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stompe pushes Rodriguez away with a front kick.
Rodriguez is breathing heavily.
Stompe cracks the inside of Rodriguez's front leg.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stompe, right into the meat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stompe plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Whack! Stompe lands a heavy head kick that drops Rodriguez. The ref tackles Stompe to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Rodriguez was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Stephan Stompe!
