Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Teukka Korpi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Korpi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Children Of Bodom - In Your Face. Ross has chosen All Along The Watchtower as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teukka Korpi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jordan Ross! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ross throws a looping overhand right but Korpi ducks down to avoid it. Ross throws a sloppy head kick and Korpi moves out of range easily. Ross buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Korpi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Korpi scores with a nice right hand.
Ross takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Teukka Korpi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ross gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Korpi.
Ross is rocked! Ross gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Ross is still on wobbly legs! Can Korpi finish him? Ross scores with a jab to the body. Korpi lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. A right-left combo lands from Korpi. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ross scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Ross just misses with a punch to the body.
Ross feints and as Korpi raises his hands in defense, Ross changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ross seems to have recovered his senses. Korpi is working an open guard so Ross takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Ross throws a sloppy head kick and Korpi moves out of range easily. Korpi moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Korpi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Korpi gets caught flat footed, as Ross shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Ross wanted to stand there but Korpi had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ross looks gassed! Ross has gone for a leg lock! Korpi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ross's guard. Korpi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ross is keeping the position for now. Ross is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ross wants to stand and escape but Korpi is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Korpi landing with the ground and pound. Ross is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Korpi postures up.
Korpi tries to stand but Ross is controlling from the bottom. Korpi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Korpi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ross swats him away and circles back towards the center. Korpi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Korpi lands an overhand right. Ross moves forwards but Korpi connects with a nice, crisp jab. Good standup being displayed there by Korpi as he connects with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Korpi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Korpi checks the leg kick. Korpi has closed the distance and engaged Ross in a clinch.
Ross swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Korpi lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Korpi tries a knee to the head but Ross blocks it.
Ross is trying to break the clinch but Korpi has him pressed against the ropes. Ross avoiding damage as Korpi throws knees to the body.
Korpi lands an elbow just above Ross 's eye. Korpi keeps control of Ross as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Korpi unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ross lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Korpi lands an elbow inside that Ross shrugs off. Korpi breaks from the clinch.
Korpi cracks Ross with a right hand to the side of the head. Korpi is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Korpi cracks Ross with a right hand to the side of the head. Korpi lands a head kick. Ross smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Korpi is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Good standup being displayed there by Korpi as he connects with a hook. Korpi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Korpi scores with a decent looking hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ross throws a left that rocks Korpi and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ross dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Korpi regain composure!
Korpi is rocked!
It looks like Teukka Korpi has been cut. Ross decides to stand back up. Ross steps back and let's Korpi get back to his feet. Oh Korpi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Ross throws an uppercut from hell that sends Korpi clean off his feet! He's out cold! Ross stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jordan Ross! Jordan Ross is the new lightweight champion!
