The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Nixon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Stoner closes the distance and pushes Nixon back into the cage.

Nixon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nixon throws a right and a left that Stoner avoids nicely.

Nixon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stoner on his heels. He'll look to pass Stoner's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Nixon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Nixon moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Nixon catches Stoner with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Stoner forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
