PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Crown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Egor Kravcov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kravcov has chosen SoyuzMultFilm - Ostorozno, obezjanki! as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thomas Crown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Egor Kravcov!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kravcov gets a takedown into half guard.
Crown has hold of Kravcov's hands but Kravcov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kravcov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Crown with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kravcov lands a nice short elbow.

Crown is looking to wear down Kravcov with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Kravcov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Crown takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A right-left combo lands from Crown.
Crown scores with a shot to the body.
Crown lands a nice hook to Kravcov's body. Kravcov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Crown cracks a nice hook into Kravcov's ribs.

Crown jabs Kravcov to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Crown lands a jab to Kravcov's midsection.
Crown scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kravcov doesn't seem bothered though.

Crown closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kravcov's guard.

Crown keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kravcov's head.

Crown wants to stand but Kravcov is controlling his posture from full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crown accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crown stands and steps away. Kravcov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Crown connects with a body shot that sends Kravcov's belly button to the back.
Kravcov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Crown connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kravcov scrambles back to his feet.
Crown lands with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Crown's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kravcov under the eye.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Crown lands a jab-cross combination.
Kravcov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Crown counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kravcov thinking.
Crown connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kravcov momentarily.
Crown bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kravcov's head.
Crown scores with a jab to the jaw.
Crown ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Crown is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Crown lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Crown dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Crown misses with a double jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Crown fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Crown scores with a nice head shot.
Crown lands with an uppercut that bounces Kravcov off the cage and back into range.


Kravcov is rocked!
Crown lands a nice shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thomas Crown dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Crown counters with a left and a right... And another left! Kravcov is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Crown!
