Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davison comes to the ring accompanied by Nowhere to run. Diaz has chosen Downstait--Say it to my Face as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Davison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Nick Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davison throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely.
Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Davison.
Davison lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Davison swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Some bone on bone action there as Davison checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Davison blocks a leg kick.
Davison throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Diaz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Davison slips a jab and a cross from Diaz.
Diaz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Davison back to the ropes. Diaz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davison throws a shot from downtown. Diaz moves away and avoids it.
Diaz digs a good hook to Davison's body.
Diaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Diaz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Davison has his foot on Diaz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Diaz works his way back into a safe position though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
