Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watson comes to the cage accompanied by LMAO. Mendez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Finsh em ALL kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sean Watson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chad Mendez!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez tries to close the distance and clinch but Watson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Watson tried to score with a low kick but Mendez checks it.
Mendez looks to land a combination but Watson avoids it well.
Mendez shoots for a double leg takedown but Watson sprawls well. He's pushed Mendez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mendez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Watson but Watson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The fight stays on the outside here - Watson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Watson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chad Mendez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Mendez throws a head kick but Watson moves out of range.

Chad Mendez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Mendez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Watson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mendez.

Watson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mendez pulls his head out easily.
Watson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mendez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mendez's back!

Watson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mendez sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
