Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Renzo Albini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Rizal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Renzo Albini! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Rizal! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rizal has his takedown stuffed and Albini cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rizal doesn't manage to clinch there - Albini circles away.
Albini shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rizal's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Albini lands a couple of elbows. Albini trying to control but Rizal is working from the bottom. Albini slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Albini lands a couple of elbows. Rizal throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Albini throws a big elbow that misses. Albini is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Albini working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rizal working for a triangle but Albini defends it easily.
Albini in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Albini scoring with punches to the head and body. Albini throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Albini postures up and lands a big shot to Rizal's brow. Albini cracks Rizal with a solid left hand. Albini stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rizal swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Albini trying to control but Rizal is working from the bottom. Albini controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Albini has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Albini chips away with some ground and pound. Albini has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Albini throws a big elbow that misses. Albini trying to control but Rizal is working from the bottom. Albini keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rizal's head. Albini trying to control but Rizal is working from the bottom. Albini controlling from the top position.
Renzo Albini has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Rizal doesn't succeed with the takedown and Albini counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rizal shoots and misses and Albini counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Renzo Albini has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Rizal. Albini thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rizal's head. Albini with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Albini working over Rizal with some ground and pound. Rizal looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Albini seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rizal does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Albini is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Albini working over Rizal with some ground and pound. Rizal looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Albini perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Renzo Albini dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rizal fails with the takedown so Albini counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rizal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Albini doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Albini manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Albini scoring with some ground and pound. Rizal preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Albini scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Albini not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Albini makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Albini working some strikes from top position. Rizal keeping moving, preventing Albini from controlling successfully. Albini throws a big right hand that misses. Albini is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Renzo Albini overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rizal has momentary wrist control but Albini slips an elbow through the middle.
Rizal is rocked! Albini working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rizal's head. Rizal is still in real trouble! Can Albini finish him? Albini advances to half guard. Albini is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rizal can do to turn this around? Albini perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Albini working over Rizal with some ground and pound. Rizal looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fighters are battling for position here. Rizal manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Albini content to stall in guard here. Albini works over Rizal with some ground and pound from guard. Albini stands up over Rizal, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Albini's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Albini is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Albini is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Albini chips away with some ground and pound. Albini gets to his feet and stands over Rizal, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Rizal felt that one! Albini unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Rizal from any more punishment!
