The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragunov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Mortis throws a right and a left that Dragunov avoids nicely.
Dragunov tries to land a front kick but Mortis steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Dragunov wants to clinch
and Mortis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Mortis takes the fight into the clinch.
Mortis lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dragunov backwards.
Mortis misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dragunov.

Mortis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mortis throws a series of punches but Dragunov avoids them all with ease.
Mortis circles away from the clinch attempt
and Mortis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A combination from Dragunov does no damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mortis avoids the body shot from Dragunov.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mortis misses with a leg kick.
Mortis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dragunov throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Dragunov tries to clinch there but Mortis circles away.
Mortis lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Mortis gets a clinch.
Dragunov has had enough of the clinch but Mortis keeps him there for the moment.

Mortis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dragunov wants to clinch but Mortis slips to the side
and Mortis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dragunov plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Purpura Mortis has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mortis fails to land with a series of punches.
Dragunov takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A head kick misses from Dragunov.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dragunov closes the distance but Mortis moves to the side

and Mortis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Mortis creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Mortis unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Mortis works on Dragunov's body with a couple of short punches.
Dragunov looks gassed!

Mortis manages to break the clinch.
Mortis misses with a double jab.
Mortis scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ivan Dragunov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dragunov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mortis.
Mortis circles away from the clinch attempt

and Mortis counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Dragunov onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.

Dragunov is rocked!
Dragunov closes the distance but Mortis moves to the side
and Mortis counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
