Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinjo Sakamaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin comes to the cage accompanied by Invincible By Adelitas Way. Sinjo Sakamaki will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sinjo Sakamaki! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakamaki tries to clinch and Martin counters with a shoot takedown. Sakamaki fights it but they end up in guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Martin works over Sakamaki with some ground and pound from guard. Sakamaki can't keep his opponent in guard - Martin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Martin throwing shots but Sakamaki is blocking nicely. Martin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sakamaki's head. Martin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Martin scoring with strikes to the body and head. Martin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Martin not landing any meaningful shots this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sakamaki wants to control but Martin is keeping busy and won't allow it. Martin working over Sakamaki with some ground and pound. Sakamaki looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Martin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Martin prevents Sakamaki from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakamaki is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Martin scores with a couple of nice shots. Martin working the head and body with strikes. Martin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Martin connects with a nice short shot to Sakamaki's temple. Sakamaki is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Martin scores with a couple of nice shots. This has been an exciting period of action! Martin scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Martin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Martin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Martin is nestled in close to Sakamaki, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Nice strikes from Martin there.
Sakamaki is rocked! Martin is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Sakamaki is hurt! He's hurt bad - Martin fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Sakamaki from any more punishment! Congratulations to Martin! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Martin! After winning the bout, Mike Martin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
