Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jhag Icarium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Poppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jhag Icarium! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Poppy! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Icarium shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Poppy as he avoids it easily. Icarium throws a right and a left that both miss. Icarium misses with a head kick.
Poppy drops his shoulder and cracks Icarium with a huge uppercut! Icarium goes down! Can Poppy finish him?
It looks like Jhag Icarium has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Poppy works a leg free and moves into half guard. Poppy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Poppy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Icarium wants to control the action here but instead Poppy manages to pass to full mount! Poppy controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Icarium is trying desperately to improve position. Poppy looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nick Poppy has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Icarium looks for a takedown but Poppy sprawls well. Poppy waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Icarium. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Icarium to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Icarium is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Poppy stays in close to Icarium's body and controls the position. Oh Icarium is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Icarium seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jhag Icarium. BOOM! Poppy lands a beautiful left hook that drops Icarium. Icarium tries to recover but Poppy is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Icarium lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Poppy!
