PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kapitan Tutan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxxi Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxxi Moon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kapitan Tutan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Maxxi Moon!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tutan.
Moon slips under a jab from Tutan.
Moon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tutan moves away.
Tutan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Tutan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Moon moves out of range of the strikes.
A swing and a miss from Tutan.
Tutan avoids the body shot from Moon.
Tutan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Moon sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Moon misses with a wild body shot.
Moon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Moon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tutan manages to avoid it.
Tutan slips under a jab from Moon.

Tutan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Moon was covering up waiting for the punch and Tutan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Tutan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tutan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Moon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tutan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Moon is trying to keep Tutan in close.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tutan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tutan postures up in Moon's guard and throws a big left but Moon blocks it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Moon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Tutan won't allow Moon to sweep him here.

Tutan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tutan is working Moon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Tutan trying to control but Moon is working from the bottom.
Tutan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tutan distracts Moon with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Moon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tutan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tutan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Tutan throws a big right hand that misses.
Tutan trying to control but Moon is working from the bottom.
Tutan passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Tutan in side control lands a decent elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tutan is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Moon's shoulder. That is not cool.
Tutan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moon keeps working.

Tutan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tutan throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Tutan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Moon sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Tutan scoring with punches and elbows.
Tutan looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Moon is avoiding damage well.
Tutan advances nicely into full mount.
Moon in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Moon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Tutan looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Tutan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tutan looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Moon covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kapitan Tutan!
During a confident post fight interview, Kapitan Tutan thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
