The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunnarsson missing with a left hand there. Hiro was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gunnarsson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Hiro clinches with his opponent.
Gunnarsson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hiro's efforts to push away.

Gunnarsson breaks from the clinch.
Gunnarsson leaves Hiro with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gunnarsson lands a leg kick that knocks Hiro off balance momentarily.
Gunnarsson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gunnarsson duly obliges.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hiro instigates a clinch.

Gunnarsson breaks from the clinch.
Hiro wants to clinch up but Gunnarsson keeps it at a distance.
Gunnarsson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Gunnarsson throws a leg kick which misses Hiro's front leg but catches the back leg as Hiro tries to avoid it.
Teitur Gunnarsson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hiro swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Hiro scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gunnarsson doesn't seem bothered though.

Hiro looks to land a combination but Gunnarsson avoids it well.

Hiro takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Maku Hiro has been cut.
Hiro is looking to clinch but Gunnarsson is avoiding it.

Hiro looks gassed!

Gunnarsson cracks Hiro with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Gunnarsson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hiro to stand back up!
Gunnarsson closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Hiro out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
