Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adil Ek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalev Sonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adil Ek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kalev Sonen! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Ek with that takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Sonen. No joy for Ek on that attempt. Ek fails in his attempt to clinch. Sonen shoots in but no luck this time. Sonen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ek sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sonen somewhat. Sonen shoots in for a double leg but Ek sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Adil Ek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalev Sonen. Sonen rushes Ek and presses him up against the cage. Ek has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sonen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ek gets underhooks to prevent Sonen's takedown attempt.

Sonen is trying to pull guard but Ek has him pressed against the cage. Ek gets control of Sonen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ek will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Ek keeping moving, preventing Sonen from controlling successfully. Ek will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Sonen gets tackled into the cage by Ek. Ek maintains the clinch. Sonen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ek gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sonen.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sonen has eaten all the pies! Sonen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ek gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Sonen is pressed up against the cage. Ek has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sonen down to the mat. Sonen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Ek looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ek shoots in for a takedown but Sonen shows good takedown defense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sonen shoots in for a double leg but Ek sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sonen tries to clinch but Ek moves away and Ek counters with a three punch combo that has Sonen backing up. Sonen nods at Ek to acknowledge the strikes. Ek gets a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sonen is trying to pull guard but Ek has him pressed against the cage. Ek is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ek decides to pull guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sonen looking to sit in guard and control but Ek gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ek is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adil Ek dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ek pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ek tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sonen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ek pulls Sonen into guard.
Sonen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ek will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ek is trying to keep Sonen in close.
Sonen's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ek is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sonen defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sonen trying to control the position from guard on top but Ek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sonen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ek looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ek looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ek! Ek throwing strikes but Sonen manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! The strikes coming from Sonen are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sonen misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Sonen goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ek rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sonen's guard! Nice work there by Ek! Sonen is striking but Ek is not phased and passes to half guard. Ek controlling the action here. Ek is trying to control. Sonen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ek darts in and clinches Sonen up against the cage. Sonen jumps guard but Ek stands there with Sonen around his waist. Sonen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sonen has Ek pressed against the cage, preventing Ek from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Ek jumps into guard, dragging Sonen to the mat.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ek is on top in guard.
Adil Ek overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ek missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sonen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ek controls from within his opponent's guard. Sonen is trying to control the position but Ek postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sonen looking to control but Ek passes into half guard.
Sonen tries to get to full guard but Ek has control of the leg. Sonen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sonen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ek pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well, if Ek is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
