Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick House (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Blaize (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaize comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Heart In My Hands kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! TJ Blaize has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick House! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Blaize! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaize darts in and clinches House up against the cage. House decides to pull guard. Blaize has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of House is proving hard to escape from. Blaize gets to his feet. House looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Blaize misses with a few strikes there.
House swats away the attempt to clinch by Blaize. Blaize misses with a wild combination.
Blaize throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown by House or perhaps it was just good defense by Blaize which made him look bad. House pushes Blaize up against the cage in a clinch. Blaize stalling against the cage.
House tries for a takedown but Blaize manages to get underhooks.
Blaize taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
House is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick House. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blaize lands a damaging elbow. Nice elbow from Blaize. Blaize is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. House manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. House looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blaize is one step ahead there. House is breathing heavily. Blaize is looking to stand up but House won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. House trying to keep a closed guard but Blaize is proving a slippery customer.
House manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blaize manages to get himself to full guard.
Blaize pushes House off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Blaize swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
House misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blaize is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blaize lands with a straight right. House didn't see that one coming. No joy there for Blaize, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Blaize moves to clinch but House breaks away and Blaize takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. House feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. House advances position into side control! The referee asks House politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. House prefers to stall for the moment though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. House prevents Blaize from escaping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. House tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. House is working to tighten is grip on Blaize's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Blaize has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but House is really squeezing tight and eventually Blaize passes out! House breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Nick House! An out of breath Nick House thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
