Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stu Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dyziek Port (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dyziek Port will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Stu Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dyziek Port!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall throws a nice looking combination but Port bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Port uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marshall.
Marshall tries to clinch there but Port circles away.
Marshall misses with an uppercut. Port saw that one coming.
Marshall thows a body shot but no joy.
Marshall throws a head kick that misses.
Marshall misses with a wild combination.
Port shoots in but no luck this time.
Port fails to land the takedown.

Marshall closes the distance and clinches.

Marshall breaks from the clinch.

Marshall tries to sprawl but Port drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Port looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Port trying to control from half guard but Marshall is working away.

Port wants to pass the guard but Marshall is defending well.
Marshall is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Port's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Port's back!

Port is trying to shake Marshall off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Marshall won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
Marshall takes a swing at Port's ribcage but misses.
Port shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marshall as he avoids it easily.
Stu Marshall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dyziek Port.

Port avoids a punch combination nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Port.
Stu Marshall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Port lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Marshall with a lazy takedown attempt
and Port counters with a right hand to the body.
Marshall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Port uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marshall.
Port fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Port changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marshall looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marshall on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Port cracks Marshall with a big elbow.
Port creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Marshall sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Port tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Marshall tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Port controlling the position from side mount.
Port scores with punches from side control.
Port happy to just control the position for now.
Marshall might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marshall is trying to buck Port off.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Port controlling the position from side mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Let's hope that Port has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marshall stuffs the takedown.
A combination from Port does no damage.
Port shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marshall sprawls well. Marshall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Port gets slowly back to his feet.
Marshall swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Marshall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Marshall shoots in for a takedown but Port shows good takedown defense.
Port connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Port shoots in and drives through. Marshall sprawls well.

Marshall tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Marshall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Port paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Port checks the leg kick nicely there.
Port keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Marshall could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Port tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marshall sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Port somewhat.

Port shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Marshall napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Dyziek Port has got the better of the ground game so far.
Port looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Marshall is avoiding damage well.

Port wants to take a breather but Marshall manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Port.
Marshall has momentary wrist control but Port slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Dyziek Port showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Marshall throws a combination that misses

and Port counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Marshall tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Marshall not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Port trying to control but Marshall is working from the bottom.
Port seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Port throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marshall works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Dyziek Port has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dyziek Port wasn't active enough on the ground.
Port stalks Marshall and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Marshall's face. Marshall staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Stu Marshall has been cut.
Marshall attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Port closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Marshall's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Port scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Port is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Port trying to control the position from guard on top but Marshall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Port trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Port sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Marshall's guard.
Stu Marshall has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Marshall is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Port scores with a couple of nice shots.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Port in particular looking to stall.

Well, if Port is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
