The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Di Vaio throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Di Vaio cracks a nice hook into Gracie's ribs.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Di Vaio sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Di Vaio sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are battling for position here. Di Vaio manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Gracie won't allow Di Vaio to sweep him here.
Di Vaio manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Di Vaio has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Di Vaio loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gracie scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Di Vaio land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Di Vaio stands and salutes the crowd.
