Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Travis Koenig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tang Ina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koenig kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Du Hast. Travis Koenig has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Koenig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tang Ina!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koenig moves into the clinch.
Ina tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Koenig's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ina is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Koenig's half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ina not doing much here.
Ina wants to pass the guard but Koenig is defending well.
Ina prevents Koenig from improving his position.
Koenig is looking to control Ina's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Koenig avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ina wants to pass to mount but Koenig is defending the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tang Ina hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Ina wants to clinch.
Koenig shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ina defends it nicely.
Koenig is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Travis Koenig seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ina tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Koenig swivels and escapes.

Ina has Koenig up against the cage in a clinch.

Ina jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Koenig walks away with a smile on his face. Ina gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Koenig tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ina presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Koenig tries to lock up and control but Ina gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Koenig really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ina gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Koenig shoots for a double leg takedown but Ina sprawls well. He's pushed Koenig's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Koenig. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Koenig will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Koenig is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ina shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Koenig's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ina is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ina stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ina wants it to stay on the feet.
Koenig lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ina.
Koenig is trying to buck Ina off.

Ina has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Ina gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Koenig to score an easy takedown into full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ina manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Koenig looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Koenig stands up from Ina's guard - Koenig perhaps looking for a knockout.

Koenig drops back looking for a leg! Ina is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ina manages to kick Koenig off! Koenig jumps back into Ina's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ina can do anything to dispel that myth.
Koenig tries to pass to full mount but Ina defends it.

Ina wants to get back to his feet.

Koenig is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ina has managed to free his arm - good work.

Koenig stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Ina to get to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Koenig wants to clinch.
Koenig fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ina avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Travis Koenig will probably get the nod.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tang Ina wasn't active enough on the ground.

Ina closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Koenig shoots in but Ina avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ina creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Koenig sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Ina tries to advance position but instead Koenig slips a leg back in to half guard.
Koenig pushes Ina off looking to stand but Ina dives back in and keeps control.
Koenig makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Koenig.

Koenig looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ina is one step ahead there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tang Ina comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ina has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
