Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Liddell! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Johnson! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell blocks a jab. Liddell throws a nice inside leg kick. Johnson takes a swing at Liddell's ribcage but misses. No luck with that takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Liddell manages to avoid it. Johnson throws a poor cross that misses
and Liddell counters with a head kick. That will keep Johnson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Johnson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Johnson throws a body punch but Liddell moves out of range. Nice body kick there by Liddell. Johnson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Tim Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liddell lands a leg kick that knocks Johnson off balance momentarily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Liddell scores with a jab. Liddell dodges the punch combination from Johnson.
Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into Liddell's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Johnson postures up in Liddell's guard and throws a big left but Liddell blocks it. Liddell is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.
Liddell manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters circling a little - Liddell finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Liddell slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.
Johnson takes a body punch but keeps moving. Liddell throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily. Johnson throws a lazy uppercut
and Liddell counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Johnson is lucky that one didn't land flush. Johnson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Liddell. Liddell lands a nice leg kick that just misses Johnson's sensitive parts. Johnson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Liddell. Liddell keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Liddell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Liddell connects with a solid leg kick. Liddell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson fails with a takedown attempt. Liddell lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Tim Johnson has been cut. Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.

Liddell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Johnson connects with a nice short shot to Liddell's temple. Johnson lands a big shot. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Johnson slips a nice elbow through Liddell's hands, connecting with Liddell's forehead. Johnson is nestled in close to Liddell, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson working over Liddell with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Johnson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Johnson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Liddell is staying active underneath Johnson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Liddell is trying to control but can't.

Oh Liddell is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Johnson lands a strong strike to the head of Liddell. That's dazed him! Johnson looking to finish here. Liddell is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Johnson lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
