Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randjob Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Laranja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renato Laranja! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Laranja. Jiu Jitsu does a little dance to reset his feet. Laranja circles away from the clinch attempt and Laranja counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jiu Jitsu moves to clinch but Laranja breaks away and Laranja counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Laranja is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jiu Jitsu's half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laranja is looking to take a break and control but Jiu Jitsu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jiu Jitsu is refusing to be controlled, as Laranja sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Laranja is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jiu Jitsu has managed to free his arm - good work. Laranja seems to be looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Laranja seems content to control. Laranja wants to pass to mount but Jiu Jitsu is defending the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Laranja frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jiu Jitsu is looking to improve his position but Laranja isn't that keen on the idea. Laranja scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Laranja content just to control the position here. Laranja prevents Jiu Jitsu from getting the reversal. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Laranja goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Jiu Jitsu turns into him and now he's in Laranja's guard.

Laranja looking to sit in guard and control but Jiu Jitsu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Laranja keeping moving, preventing Jiu Jitsu from controlling successfully. Jiu Jitsu has gone for a leg lock! Laranja slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jiu Jitsu's guard. Laranja throws a big elbow that misses.

Laranja must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Laranja drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jiu Jitsu dives on top into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jiu Jitsu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Laranja controls the pace. Jiu Jitsu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Laranja can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Laranja makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Jiu Jitsu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jiu Jitsu manages to kick Laranja off! Laranja jumps back into Jiu Jitsu's guard. Laranja controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Renato Laranja is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Laranja drops back looking for a leg! Jiu Jitsu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jiu Jitsu manages to kick Laranja off! Laranja jumps back into Jiu Jitsu's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jiu Jitsu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Laranja doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Laranja manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that's the end of the fight! Renato Laranja comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Laranja has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
