Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joey Gambini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Troy Miller is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joey Gambini! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Troy Miller! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gambini doesn't succeed with the takedown and Miller counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Miller shoots in looking for a takedown but Gambini manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gambini. Joey Gambini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gambini tries for a takedown but Miller circles away easily and Miller counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gambini won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Gambini. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller tries to stand but Gambini is controlling his head. Gambini regains half guard there - taking advantage of Miller's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Miller tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gambini knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Miller working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Gambini's thigh. Gambini counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Miller throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gambini was covering up waiting for the punch and Miller finishes the takedown easily into guard. OK we're going to have a standup here. Troy Miller hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Miller misses with a takedown attempt so Gambini counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The ref stands the fighters back up. Joey Gambini wasn't doing enough on the ground. Miller tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gambini shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miller as he avoids it easily. Miller tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gambini trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom.

Joey Gambini overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gambini is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Miller keeping moving, preventing Gambini from controlling successfully. Gambini is really struggling to control Miller but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Gambini throws a big right hand that misses. Miller keeping moving, preventing Gambini from controlling successfully.
Joey Gambini has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Gambini misses with a takedown attempt and Miller counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Miller must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gambini trying to keep a closed guard but Miller is proving a slippery customer.

Gambini will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gambini keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Troy Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Miller throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gambini tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Miller is in Gambini's guard. Gambini is looking for a triangle but Miller pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller passes easily into side control. Nice work. Gambini is not content to let Miller control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gambini wants to get back to his feet. Miller lands some shots froms side control. Miller wants to control but Gambini is keeping him busy. Miller working the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller in side control lands a decent elbow. A lull in the action here. Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gambini keeps working. Gambini is looking to regain half guard here but Miller keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Gambini's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gambini keeps working. Gambini really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

And that's the end of the fight! Troy Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Miller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
