Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nobofuki Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane has chosen entersandman as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nobofuki Mishima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rick Kane! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mishima shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Mishima is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kane has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kane! Mishima wants to stand but Kane is controlling the position. Kane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kane wants to pass the guard but Mishima is keeping the position. Mishima wants to sweep but no luck. Kane tries to free his leg and advance position but Mishima is retaining full guard. Kane trying to control the position from guard on top but Mishima is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kane content to stall in guard here.

Mishima is breathing heavily. Kane controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mishima bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kane's guard. Kane trying to keep a closed guard but Mishima is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mishima slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kane throws Mishima to one side and escapes! Mishima doesn't manage to clinch there - Kane circles away.
Mishima throws a body kick that misses. Mishima misses with a takedown attempt - Kane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mishima throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kane's waist but Kane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mishima off to one side. Mishima gets the takedown into side control. Mishima has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kane! Kane is looking to improve his position but Mishima isn't that keen on the idea. Mishima throwing strikes but Kane recovers to half guard. A much better position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mishima tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Kane. Kane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mishima seems to be working for a kimura but Kane defends the submission attempt. Mishima looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mishima is pressing down on Kane's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kane is holding on for now. Mishima decides to stand up. Mishima looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kane is fending him off so far but Mishima persists. Nope, Kane circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nobofuki Mishima. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mishima misses with a wild combination.
Mishima fails to land the takedown. Kane closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mishima changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kane fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kane circles away from the clinch attempt and Kane counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nobofuki Mishima will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mishima throws out a loose jab but Kane uses good head movement to avoid it. Mishima gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kane counters with a shoot takedown. Mishima fights it but they end up in guard. Kane is pushing down on Mishima's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mishima is fighting to maintain full guard but Kane has managed to sneak the leg through. Kane seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mishima does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mishima moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mishima isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kane stacks Mishima on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kane! Kane trying to control the action but Mishima is working from the bottom. Mishima is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Kane works his way into side control. Mishima stops Kane from passing to mount. Kane controls the position. Mishima sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Mishima is controlling Kane's trapped leg to prevent Kane from advancing to side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mishima is looking for a sweep. Kane is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kane takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Mishima wants to control but Kane is keeping busy and won't allow it. That's one minute gone in the round. Kane utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kane takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kane keeping moving, preventing Mishima from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Kane throws a sloppy head kick and Mishima moves out of range easily. Mishima gets caught flat footed, as Kane shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kane postures up.

Kane swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Kane is looking to get to half guard. Mishima avoids the attempt from Kane to control. Mishima punishing his opponent with strikes. Kane is in a horrible position here. Mishima smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kane is trying to escape the mount.

Kane can't keep his opponent in guard - Mishima advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mishima is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kane defends it well. Mishima is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
