The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twitchell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chenchikov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Artem Chenchikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chenchikov throws a head kick that misses
and Twitchell counters by moving into the clinch.
Chenchikov tries to pull guard but Twitchell holds him up against the cage and eventually Chenchikov drops back down to his feet.
Twitchell throws an elbow but it misses.
Chenchikov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Twitchell prevents it.

Chenchikov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Twitchell pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Chenchikov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Twitchell is defending well for now.
Twitchell drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chenchikov pulls his leg out and moves away.

Chenchikov tries to bum rush Twitchell with a series of wild strikes but Twitchell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Twitchell clinches up with Chenchikov and pushes him back against the cage.

Twitchell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Twitchell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chenchikov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chenchikov lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Chenchikov scores with a one two! Twitchell had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Chenchikov throws a right hand that Twitchell ducks under and follows up with a left that Twitchell also avoids with ease.
Twitchell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chenchikov tries to avoid it but Twitchell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chenchikov to the ground. Chenchikov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chenchikov lands with a slapping head kick.
Twitchell drives through and clinches with Chenchikov against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chenchikov jumps guard but Twitchell turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Twitchell shoots in looking for a takedown but Chenchikov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Twitchell's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
