Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tommi Kauri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vladimir Tretiak!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tretiak tries for a takedown but Kauri sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kauri throws a hook but Tretiak blocks it.
Tretiak looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Tretiak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kauri's waist but Kauri gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tretiak off to one side.
Tretiak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kauri pinned against the cage. Kauri gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tommi Kauri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Tretiak.
Kauri throws a hook but Tretiak avoids it easily.
Tretiak closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tretiak lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Tretiak trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kauri is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tretiak is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kauri is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kauri has escaped and now he's on top!
Tretiak has his feet on Kauri's thighs here. He's pushed Kauri off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kauri screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
