The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amato throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Domenic Amato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Amato throws a shot from downtown. Grep moves away and avoids it.
Grep jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Amato throws the left hand but Grep avoids the punch easily.
Grep chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Amato thows a body shot but no joy.
Grep throws a leg kick but Amato moved away.
Amato lands a body shot.
Grep displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Amato.
Amato pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Amato changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Grep looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Grep gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Amato is trying to control. Grep wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Grep looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Grep wants to get back to full guard.
Grep works his way to full guard. Good work.
Amato wants to control from the top but Grep keeps moving.

Grep working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Amato doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Amato manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Grep throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Amato escapes and throws Grep's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Grep is trying to control Amato's posture but Amato avoids it.

Grep regains half guard there - taking advantage of Amato's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Amato slows the pace down in half guard.
Amato seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Grep does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Grep is trying to get back to full guard.

Amato must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Grep controls Amato momentarily but Amato frees himself.
Amato controls from within his opponent's guard.
Grep tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Amato is sitting in close to Grep's body. Grep has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Amato is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Amato is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Grep.
