The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jauheliha throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Roth takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Jauheliha clobbers Roth with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Roth keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

A slapping leg kick lands for Jauheliha.

Roth is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jauheliha's half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roth accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Roth has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Jauheliha got a little sloppy there for a moment and Roth has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jauheliha has managed to get both his arms back between Roth's legs - danger averted.
