Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andres Bautista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lorenzo Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bautista comes into the arena with Pain Killer blaring out of the sound system. Da Silva has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bautista fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Bautista dives in and scores a takedown into Da Silva's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bautista passes Da Silva's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Da Silva looks gassed!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Bautista shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Andres Bautista just wasn't active enough.

Bautista feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bautista seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Bautista seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Da Silva for as long as he can get away with.

Bautista sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Da Silva's guard.

Bautista stands up and beckons Da Silva to join him on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Da Silva enables Bautista to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Da Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Bautista is looking to work some ground and pound but Da Silva has wrist control.
Da Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Andres Bautista has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Da Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bautista to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bautista postures up in Da Silva's guard and throws a big left but Da Silva blocks it.

Da Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bautista gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Bautista drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bautista wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Da Silva, who protects the arm well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bautista is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Da Silva's shoulder. That is not cool.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andres Bautista showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bautista has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Andres Bautista rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
