Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Santhiago Silva!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Avelar, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Avelar against the cage but Avelar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jab, jab by Avelar - just one landing.
Avelar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Avelar wants it to stay on the feet.
Avelar ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A good leg kick by Avelar.
Avelar jabs Silva to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Avelar as he avoids it easily.
Omar Avelar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santhiago Silva.
Avelar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Avelar avoids the head kick by Silva.
Avelar comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Avelar.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Avelar feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.
Avelar stuns Silva with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Silva looks gassed!
Avelar lands a jab.
Avelar moves into range and connects with a jab.
Avelar lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silva at a distance.
Silva has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Avelar.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Avelar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Omar Avelar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A nice inside leg kick there by Avelar. That's going to slow Silva down.
Avelar lands a really nice looking cross but Silva seems unphased.
Avelar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Silvas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Silva stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Avelar.
Omar Avelar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Avelar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Avelar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Silva momentarily.
Silva is rocked!
The crowd cheers as Avelar lands an impressive looking overhand right. Silva doesn't seem phased though.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Avelar finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Avelar throws an uppercut from hell that sends Silva clean off his feet! He's out cold! Avelar stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
