Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shim Changmin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taka Sho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taka Sho! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Sho. Changmin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sho. Changmin tries to bum rush Sho with a series of wild strikes but Sho uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Taka Sho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sho. Shim Changmin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taka Sho. Sho misses with a takedown and Changmin counters with a straight right hand. Sho is rocked! Sho doesn't succeed with the takedown and Changmin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Sho is still on wobbly legs! Can Changmin finish him? Sho is trying desperately to land a takedown but Changmin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sho. Changmin drops Sho with a right and a left! Changmin comes rushing in but Sho regains his composure and manages to keep Changmin in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Changmin wants to control from the top but Sho keeps moving. Sho not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

This has been an exciting period of action! Sho misses with the ground and pound. Sho advances nicely into full mount. Sho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sho controlling the pace for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sho sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Sho misses with a takedown attempt and Changmin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Changmin looks to land a combination. Sho sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Changmin circles away from the clinch attempt and Changmin counters with a left to the body. Sho gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Changmin counters with a three punch combo that has Sho backing up. Sho nods at Changmin to acknowledge the strikes. Shim Changmin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taka Sho. Sho is breathing heavily. Sho shoots in for a double leg but Changmin sprawls well. Changmin throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Sho's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Changmin dives in looking to finish as Sho flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Changmin's strikes! Changmin is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Sho's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Sho was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shim Changmin! A relieved looking Shim Changmin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
