Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Punchy McPunches (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean ORiordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Punchy McPunches!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Sean ORiordan!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. ORiordan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
ORiordan throws a looping overhand right but McPunches ducks down to avoid it.
McPunches misses with a combination

and ORiordan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
ORiordan trying to control from half guard but McPunches is working away.
ORiordan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
McPunches moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
ORiordan throws a big right hand that misses.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sean ORiordan.
ORiordan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McPunches stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
ORiordan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McPunches on the side of the head.
ORiordan ducks under a wild hook from McPunches.
McPunches moves out of range of the strikes.
McPunches thows a left - swing and a miss!
McPunches scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A momentary lapse in concentration from McPunches enables ORiordan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McPunches manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
McPunches wants to improve his position but instead ORiordan has moved into half guard.
ORiordan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McPunches's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
ORiordan wants to lay and pray for a moment but McPunches keeps working.
ORiordan uses his free foot to push down on McPunches's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for McPunches.
ORiordan thowing shots but they're missing.
ORiordan cracks McPunches with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
ORiordan looking to ground and pound but McPunches is blocking nicely.
ORiordan punching from mount but McPunches doing a good job of avoiding damage.
ORiordan throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
ORiordan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
McPunches is squirming around, avoiding ORiordan's attempts to control the action.
ORiordan looking to ground and pound but McPunches is blocking nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
ORiordan is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and McPunches goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for ORiordan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Sean ORiordan!
During a confident post fight interview, Sean ORiordan thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
