Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oliver Woodhouse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lemuel Rihia! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woodhouse lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Woodhouse will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rihia tries to bum rush Woodhouse with a series of wild strikes but Woodhouse uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Woodhouse catches Rihia with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rihia. Rihia wants to clinch. Rihia drops his hands momentarily and Woodhouse takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Woodhouse swats away the attempt to clinch by Rihia. Woodhouse throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Woodhouse lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Rihia takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Rihia takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Woodhouse fails to land with a series of punches.
Woodhouse pushes Rihia up against the cage in a clinch. Woodhouse pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rihia is defended easily by Woodhouse. Rihia looks gassed! Woodhouse scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A nice inside leg kick there by Woodhouse. That's going to slow Rihia down. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Woodhouse!
Woodhouse lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Rihia sprawling to the canvas. Woodhouse follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Rihia hang on?
It looks like Lemuel Rihia has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Woodhouse decides to return to a standing position. Nice uppercut there from Woodhouse. Rihia on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Woodhouse moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Woodhouse lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Woodhouse.
Rihia is rocked! Woodhouse lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Rihia is still on wobbly legs! Can Woodhouse finish him? Nice uppercut there from Woodhouse. and Woodhouse counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Rihia! He's just covering up as Woodhouse starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
