Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drasek Riven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clark Kent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Drasek Riven! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riven shoots for a double leg takedown but Kent sprawls well. He's pushed Riven's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kent lands with a cross. Riven will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kent pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Riven needs to keep his hands up - Kent had a free shot at his head there. Riven closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kent circles away. Clark Kent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drasek Riven. Riven has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kent. Kent misses with a body kick. Riven looks for a takedown but Kent sprawls well. Riven misses with a double jab.
Kent misses with a hook. Nice defenses there by Kent. Riven avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Kent stuffs the takedown attempt from Riven. Riven gets slowly back to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Riven lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kent's sensitive parts. Riven takes a swing at Kent's ribcage but misses. Riven tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kent misses with a low kick. Kent lands a jab to the nose. Kent lands a nice shot to the body.
Kent changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Riven looks gassed! Kent jabs Riven right on the nose. Riven blinks but takes it well. This has been an exciting period of action! Jab from Kent. Riven misses with a hook. Riven misses with a low kick.
Kent lands the left hand. Kent lunges at Riven with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Riven's hand. Clark Kent is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Riven throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Riven has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kent finds it's way round the side to connect with Riven's head. Riven takes one to the side of the head.
Kent pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kent getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riven takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Kent works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Riven is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kent cracks Riven with an open hand slap.
Riven is rocked! Riven moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Riven throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Riven throws a shot from downtown. Kent moves away and avoids it. A decent looking cross lands there for Kent. Riven doesn't manage to clinch there - Kent circles away.
Riven throws a series of punches but Kent moves out of range. Kent misses with a wild body shot. Kent connects with a nice looking jab.
Riven uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kent. Riven tries to close the distance and clinch but Kent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kent keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Good leg kick by Kent there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riven ducks under a wild hook from Kent. Riven throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Riven blocks a head kick by Kent.
Nice jab there from Kent. Riven scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Riven throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kent's waist but Kent gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riven off to one side. Riven connects with a nice looking jab.
Kent lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kent misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kent fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Riven manages to avoid it. Riven is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kent. Kent darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Kent is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. A telegraphed right hand from Riven misses the target. Clark Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Riven gets the takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Riven working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riven tries to score with some ground and pound. Kent controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Riven content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kent stops Riven from passing to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clark Kent dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kent digs a good body shot into Riven's ribs. Riven checks the leg kick. Riven comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Riven throws a nice looking combination but Kent bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Riven scores a takedown into full mount! Riven wants to control the pace but Kent is squirming around nicely. Kent tries to hold on but Riven pushes him away. Riven takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riven wants to take his opponent's back but Kent doesn't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kent is squirming around, avoiding Riven's attempts to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Riven is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Kent working to try and regain half guard.
Kent is squirming around, avoiding Riven's attempts to control the action. Riven controlling the pace for now.

Drasek Riven has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Riven drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Kent throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Riven. Kent throws a nice looking combination but Riven bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Some wild striking there from Riven.
Riven checks a leg kick. Riven lands a glancing blow to the side of Kent's head. Riven fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kent checks a leg kick. Kent cracks Riven with a right hand to the side of the head. Riven takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Kent throws a jab but it's blocked by Riven. Clark Kent is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kent looks to throw the jab but Riven is out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riven scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Riven does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kent connects with a good right hand that stumbles Riven. Riven circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kent throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Riven counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kent thinking. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Riven shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kent defends it nicely. Kent tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Riven is able to avoid easily. Riven takes one to the chin there. Decent striking displayed by Kent there. Kent misses with a hook. Riven ducked under it nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A nice leg kick lands there from Riven. Riven lands a jab to the head.

Kent lands a head shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Drasek Riven will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Kent throws a nice outside leg kick. Kent looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Kent thows a body shot but no joy. Riven shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kent eats them both and turns towards Riven to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Kent takes a swing at Riven's ribcage but misses. Riven connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kent momentarily.
Riven uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kent.
Kent fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Riven is out of range. Kent jabs Riven right on the nose. Riven blinks but takes it well. Riven defending well as Kent loads up on a big left hand. Riven closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Riven lands in his opponent's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kent is trying to keep Riven in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riven is looking to advance position but Kent has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Riven is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kent lands a nice shot to the head. Kent tries to control but Riven wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kent throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Riven because Kent loaded up on that one. Riven regains half guard. Kent slips a nice elbow through Riven's hands, connecting with Riven's forehead. Riven regains full guard. Nicely done. Riven has Kent pulled in close to control his posture. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Riven trying to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riven looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kent is one step ahead there. Drasek Riven has got the better of the ground game so far. Kent postures up in Riven's guard and throws a big left but Riven blocks it. Riven is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Kent is looking to work some ground and pound but Riven has wrist control. Riven wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kent wants to control from the top but Riven keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kent slips a jab from Riven. Riven throws a body punch but Kent moves out of range. Riven blocks a leg kick. Riven throws out a loose jab but Kent uses good head movement to avoid it. Kent throws a series of punches but Riven avoids them all with ease. A leg kick checked by Riven. Riven shoots in for a takedown but Kent shows good takedown defense. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Riven swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Riven takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kent uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Riven. Kent throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kent will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Drasek Riven. I think Riven has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
