Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anhel Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Babak Hassan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anhel Batista! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Babak Hassan! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hassan shoots in but no luck this time. Batista dives in and grabs Hassan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hassan pushes down on Batista's head and hops out. Hassan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Batista quickly recovers to half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hassan trying to control the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Babak Hassan. Hassan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Batista counters with a two punch combo. Batista has closed the distance and engaged Hassan in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hassan can't get the takedown.
Anhel Batista has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Babak Hassan. Batista breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Batista looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hassan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Batista. Hassan trying to control the position.
Hassan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hassan controlling the pace for now. Batista on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Batista tries to get out of the position. Let's hope that Hassan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hassan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Batista working to try and regain half guard.
Babak Hassan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Batista throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hassan was covering up waiting for the punch and Batista finishes the takedown easily into guard. Batista wants to pass the guard but Hassan is keeping the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Hassan keeping moving, preventing Batista from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batista is posturing up here but Hassan has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Batista tries to roll out but it's too tight and Batista has to tap! Slick submission there by Hassan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Babak Hassan!
