And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Miyaichi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Carter moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Carter lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Miyaichi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Carter looks to land a combination but Miyaichi avoids it well.
Miyaichi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A big left from Carter misses.
Carter slaps away a takedown attempt from Miyaichi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ian Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Miyaichi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Carter counters with a stiff right hand.
Ian Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryo Miyaichi.

Carter stuns Miyaichi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Carter connects with a body shot that sends Miyaichi's belly button to the back.
Carter throws a right hand that Miyaichi ducks under and follows up with a left that Miyaichi also avoids with ease.
Miyaichi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Carter counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Miyaichi thinking.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Carter, right into the meat.

Miyaichi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Miyaichi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Miyaichi looks gassed!
Carter lands a jab to the nose.
Miyaichi is trying desperately to land a takedown but Carter is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Miyaichi.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carter missing with a left hand there. Miyaichi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Miyaichi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carter.

Miyaichi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Carter defends it nicely.

Miyaichi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Carter clinches.
Carter lands an elbow inside.
Miyaichi takes a shot to the head.
Miyaichi is trying to drag Carter to the mat but Carter just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Carter lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Miyaichi backwards.
Carter misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A left hand lands to the body for Carter.
Miyaichi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Carter lands with a light punch inside.
Carter lands with a left to the head.
Carter lands a left hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Miyaichi with a poor takedown
and Carter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Miyaichi's guard now.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Carter passes Miyaichi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Carter seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ian Carter dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Carter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carter throws a hook to the side of Miyaichi's head but Miyaichi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Carter connects with a looping right hand.
Miyaichi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Miyaichi postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Miyaichi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Carter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miyaichi is one step ahead there.

Carter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Miyaichi controls the pace.
Miyaichi is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Carter has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Miyaichi is looking to defend but Carter has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Miyaichi! Carter pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Miyaichi taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ian Carter!
