Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lukis Valec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen Drug Test as his entrance music. Nick Diaz will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Lukis Valec! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Diaz! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valec fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. The fight stays on the outside here - Valec looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Diaz misses with a few strikes there.
Valec has managed to clinch.
Valec has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Diaz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Valec is pressed up against the cage. Diaz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Valec down to the mat. Valec avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Diaz with a jab. Valec clinches up against the cage. Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Valec can't get the takedown.

Diaz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. No joy there for Valec, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Diaz blocks a jab. Valec lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Diaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Valec fails to land the takedown. Valec shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Diaz defends it nicely. Valec lets loose with a powerful body kick. Diaz will feel that in the morning. Valec shoots in and drives through. Diaz sprawls well. Diaz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Valec tries to clinch up. Diaz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Valec gets in close and instigates a clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Diaz tries for a takedown. No joy.

Diaz throws a combination. Valec tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Diaz dips to his left and cracks Valec with an uppercut! Valec throws a head kick but Diaz moves out of range.
Valec moves into range and clinches up with Diaz. Diaz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Valec pulls him back up using the underhooks. Diaz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Valec has him pressed against the cage. Valec effectively controlling the action here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Valec seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Diaz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Valec is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Diaz, into his guard. Valec prevents Diaz from getting back to his feet. Valec avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Valec might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Valec controls from within his opponent's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Valec's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lukis Valec will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

A combination from Diaz does no damage. Diaz throws a nice looking combination but Valec bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Valec gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Diaz is defending well against a takedown attempt. Valec trying to land knees to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Valec is trying to get back to full guard. Diaz slips a nice elbow through Valec's hands, connecting with Valec's forehead. Valec trying to control but Diaz postures up.

Diaz seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Valec is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
