Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dr Alban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Tretiak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alban comes to the cage accompanied by Soviet Connection. Alban has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alban gets caught flat footed, as Tretiak shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Tretiak throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Tretiak is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Alban might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tretiak throws an elbow that misses. Alban uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tretiak's guard. Nice move by Alban!
Alban is breathing heavily.
Tretiak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alban defends it easily.
Tretiak looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Tretiak manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alban manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tretiak drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Alban manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tretiak has Alban in his guard.
Tretiak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tretiak is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Alban rolls with it to try and escape but Tretiak cranks on the arm and Alban is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
