Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Junichi Emmeraldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaoki Aomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emmeraldo's entrance music is Mystic Forces. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Junichi Emmeraldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Shaoki Aomi!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emmeraldo closes the distance and clinches.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Aomi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Emmeraldo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Emmeraldo manages to end up in side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Emmeraldo wants to control but Aomi is keeping him busy.
Aomi is trying to control Emmeraldo's posture but Emmeraldo avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Aomi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Emmeraldo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Emmeraldo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Aomi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Aomi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
