Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilard is looking to clinch but Hills is avoiding it.
Hills throws a nice looking combination but Gilard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gilard moves to clinch but Hills breaks away
and Hills makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Gilard really felt that one!
Hills misses with the combination.
Gilard tries to sprawl but Hills drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hills is thwarting Gilard's attempts to control the position.
Gilard has hold of Hills's hands but Hills slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Gilard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hills. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hills lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hills throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Gilard looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hills takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Gilard keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hills wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gilard keeps working.
Gilard blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hills.
Hills is looking to take a break and control but Gilard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gilard is trying to get back to full guard.

Hills winds up and cracks Gilard with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hills looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gilard with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Gilard keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hills uses his free foot to push down on Gilard's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gilard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hills looking to finish Gilard with some ground and pound. This is bad for Gilard!
Hills lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Gilard is in a horrible position here. Hills smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Gilard is rocked!
Hills cracks Gilard with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
