Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bart Bartell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glenn Wauler! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bartell has a takedown stuffed. Bartell on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bartell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bartell tries to score with a low kick but Wauler moves his leg out of the way. Bartell shoots and misses and Wauler counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wauler. Bartell is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wauler to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bart Bartell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wauler keeps control of Bartell as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Wauler is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Wauler wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bartell is looking to break free of the clinch but Wauler has double underhooks. Bartell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bartell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wauler's waist but Wauler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bartell off to one side. Bartell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wauler takes the fight into the clinch. Wauler working some nice short punches in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bartell is trying to stall.
Bartell tries to pull guard but Wauler holds him up against the cage and eventually Bartell drops back down to his feet.
Bartell changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wauler fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Wauler throws a shot to the body.
Bartell is breathing heavily. Wauler fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wauler closes the distance and pushes Bartell back into the cage. Bartell working hard to break the clinch. Wauler lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bartell backwards. Bartell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wauler walks away with a smile on his face. Bartell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Glenn Wauler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wauler moves into range and clinches up with Bartell. Wauler wants to break the clinch but can't.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bartell misses with a hook from the clinch. Wauler lands a body punch in the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wauler manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Still in the clinch, Wauler scores with a nice short uppercut. Wauler lands an uppercut. Wauler digs a right hand underneath Bartell's ribcage. Bartell let out a lung full of air as it connected. Wauler lands a nice shot to the body. A short left from Wauler. Wauler lands a body shot in the clinch.
Wauler scores with a shot to the side of Bartell's head. Wauler wants to break free but Bartell has control.
Wauler lands a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wauler is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bartell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Glenn Wauler wasn't active enough on the ground. Bartell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bartell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wauler avoids it really well and circles away. Wauler clobbers Bartell with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wauler tries to clinch but Bartell moves out of range. Wauler closes the distance and clinches. Wauler is pushing Bartell up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Wauler lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Wauler pressing his opponent against the cage. Wauler lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Bartell is trying to pull guard but Wauler has him pressed against the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wauler stalls. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wauler scores with a nice hook to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bartell fails with a takedown attempt. Wauler lands the left hand. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bartell. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Wauler clinches up against the cage. Glenn Wauler seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Bartell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bartell has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wauler avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Wauler struggles to land a body shot inside as Bartell controls his hands.

Bartell has Wauler pressed against the cage, preventing Wauler from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Wauler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Wauler is trying to break free. Bartell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Wauler working hard to break the clinch.

He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Wauler managing to control the position. Bartell won't allow Wauler to sweep him here. Wauler managing to control the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Glenn Wauler hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Wauler lands an overhand right.

Bartell moves forwards but Wauler connects with a nice, crisp jab. Wauler scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wauler darts in and clinches Bartell up against the cage. Bartell pulls Wauler into guard.
Bartell can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wauler controls the pace. Wauler's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Glenn Wauler. Wauler pushes Bartell up against the cage in a clinch. Bartell presses Wauler against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Wauler lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Bartell fails to pull guard.
Wauler lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Wauler's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Wauler is leaning against Bartell and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wauler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bartell swats away the attempt to clinch by Wauler. Wauler wants to clinch up but Bartell keeps it at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glenn Wauler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Bartell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Wauler lands a jab. Wauler shoots in and bounces Bartell off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wauler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wauler decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bartell, up you get!

A nice right hand lands inside from Wauler. Wauler drags the fight down to the ground.

Bartell is rocked! A short left from Wauler. Oh Bartell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wauler lands a body punch in the clinch. Wauler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bartell gets tackled into the cage by Wauler. Wauler maintains the clinch. Wauler decides to pull guard. Wauler kicks Bartell off and gets to his feet. and Wauler counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Bartell! He's just covering up as Wauler starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
