The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarksson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Clarksson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carrier.
A head kick by Clarksson misses
and Carrier makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Clarksson closes the distance and clinches.

Carrier gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Carrier is trying to control. Clarksson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Clarksson pushes Carrier off and gets back to his feet.

Carrier is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Clarksson's half guard.
Carrier throws a strike but Clarksson avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
