Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Travis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ygor Junior!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior is looking to clinch.

Junior throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Travis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Junior is in Travis's guard.
Junior wants to pass the guard but Travis is keeping the position.
Travis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Junior is fighting to break Travis's control of his arms but Travis is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Junior got a little sloppy there for a moment and Travis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Junior has managed to get both his arms back between Travis's legs - danger averted.
Junior is fighting to break Travis's control of his arms but Travis is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Travis fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Junior has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Junior looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Junior connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Travis momentarily.
Travis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A clash of legs there as Junior blocks the low kick.

and Junior counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like John Travis has been cut.

Junior throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Travis's waist but Travis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Junior off to one side.
Travis is looking to slow Junior down with leg kicks.

John Travis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ygor Junior.

You can see the frustration on Junior's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Junior is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Travis lets go of the hold and Junior can pop his arm back in it's socket.
