Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, tyson Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aluicious James!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin with a hook.
James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Griffin.

Griffin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but James manages to avoid it.
Griffin connects with a body shot that sends James's belly button to the back.
Griffin fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

James takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
tyson Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

James is trying desperately to land a takedown but Griffin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for James.

Griffin cracks James with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Griffin is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Griffin circles away and we're back to standing.

Griffin lands with a nice combination. James backs away looking to recover.

Griffin clobbers James with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Griffin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Griffin throws the left hand but James avoids the punch easily.

James misses with a takedown attempt - Griffin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but James might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Griffin has got the better of the exchanges.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Griffin, as that shot connected.
Griffin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

James takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
James shoots for a double leg takedown but Griffin sprawls well. He's pushed James's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Griffin has his foot on James's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. James works his way back into a safe position though.
Aluicious James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Griffin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

tyson Griffin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Griffin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
