Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenichi Uzomaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laz Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenichi Uzomaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Laz Jr! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Uzomaki moves away. Jr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Uzomaki has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Jr scores a takedown into full mount! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Uzomaki is desperately trying to improve his position but Jr has a good base and remains in mount. Jr looking to finish Uzomaki with some ground and pound. This is bad for Uzomaki! Jr throws some wild stikes that Uzomaki manages to avoid easily.
Jr thowing shots but they're missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jr thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Jr misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uzomaki tries to reverse the position but Jr maintains control. Jr raining down shots from the mount! Jr looking to control but Uzomaki is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. A nice elbow there by Jr. Jr can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Uzomaki is looking to escape. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jr looking to finish with strikes here!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Uzomaki is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Jr punching from mount but Uzomaki doing a good job of avoiding damage. Jr tries to control but Uzomaki wriggling away. Jr thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Uzomaki is bucking up trying to escape but Jr cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Jr is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uzomaki sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Jr throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jr trying to control from half guard but Uzomaki is working away. Uzomaki won't allow Jr to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jr throwing shots but Uzomaki is blocking nicely. Jr works his way into side control. Jr throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Uzomaki manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Uzomaki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Uzomaki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jr is just riding it out for now. Uzomaki eventually gives up the hold. Uzomaki is working for a kimura but Jr is defending it quite comfortably.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Jr trying to hold on to Uzomaki's head to control him but Uzomaki postures up.
Uzomaki prevents Jr from improving his position. Jr keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jr tries to get to full guard but Uzomaki has control of the leg. Uzomaki wants to work for an arm triangle but Jr is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Uzomaki is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jr sees it coming and defends easily. Jr has his hands clasped together around Uzomaki's back. He's all about the action. Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Uzomaki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jr is just riding it out for now. Uzomaki eventually gives up the hold. Jr works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Jr has a closed guard, preventing Uzomaki from standing up. Jr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Uzomaki distracts Jr with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Uzomaki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Uzomaki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jr trying to keep a closed guard but Uzomaki is proving a slippery customer.
Jr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Uzomaki slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Jr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jr loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jr wants to control from the top but Uzomaki keeps moving. Jr looking to pass the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Uzomaki keeping moving, preventing Jr from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Laz Jr dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Jr throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Uzomaki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jr is in Uzomaki's guard. Jr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Jr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Uzomaki seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Uzomaki keeping moving, preventing Jr from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Uzomaki's guard. Jr trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Uzomaki avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jr prevents Uzomaki from getting back to his feet. Jr controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Uzomaki trying to keep a closed guard but Jr is proving a slippery customer.
Jr is working Uzomaki over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Uzomaki not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jr stands up over Uzomaki, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jr is working Uzomaki over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jr is looking to work some ground and pound but Uzomaki has wrist control. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Uzomaki is on top in guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jr preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jr has his foot on Uzomaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Uzomaki works his way back into a safe position though. Jr pulls Uzomaki in close to his closed guard and prevents Uzomaki from doing any damage or advancing position.

Jr is working an open guard so Uzomaki takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Laz Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jr scores with a kick to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jr misses the jab. Jr scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Jr stuns Uzomaki with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

A left lands for Jr. Uzomaki fails with the takedown. Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Uzomaki takes a kick to the side of the head. Jr scores with a nice right hand.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Jr throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Uzomaki was covering up waiting for the punch and Jr finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Uzomaki pulls Jr in to control the position. Jr throws a big right hand that misses. Jr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Uzomaki wants to get back to his feet but Jr is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jr connects with a couple of short punches. Jr sitting in guard, not really doing much.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jr throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. The ref stands the fighters back up because Kenichi Uzomaki just wasn't active enough. Jr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Uzomaki's guard. Uzomaki wants to sweep here but Jr controlling him for the moment. Jr working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Uzomaki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jr controls the pace. Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Uzomaki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that's the end of the fight! Laz Jr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
