Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seamus Heaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manhoef comes to the cage accompanied by Killing In The Name. On his way into the cage it seems that Melvin Manhoef has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Melvin Manhoef seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Heaney throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Manhoef because Heaney loaded up on that one.
Heaney throws a sloppy strike and Manhoef uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Manhoef has ended up in Heaney's guard.
Manhoef would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Heaney has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Manhoef throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Heaney's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Manhoef dives in looking to finish as Heaney flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Manhoef's strikes! Manhoef is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Heaney's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Heaney was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
